This rustic sauna area with a strong feel-good factor was created on a lakeside property south of Berlin. The owners decided to transform a garden shed that had previously been used for other purposes into a cozy, high-quality wellness area - individually planned and handcrafted.

The sauna is clad with rustic reclaimed wood beams, complemented by implied half-timbered elements that give the room structure and depth. The genuine reclaimed wood brings history, warmth and authenticity to the room and makes each wall surface unique.

The sauna benches made of thermowood are color-coordinated with the old wood and blend harmoniously into the overall concept. They offer a high level of seating and reclining comfort and combine a rustic look with modern functionality.

As a special feature, two infrared heaters have been discreetly integrated into the sauna wall. This makes it possible to use infrared as well as the classic sauna. When not in use, the corresponding backrests disappear out of sight in an integrated drawer under the benches - a technically sophisticated solution that preserves the clean look of the sauna.

A generous glass front opens up the view into the garden and connects the sauna room with the surrounding nature. Daylight and the view enhance the feeling of peace and relaxation.

We also helped design the anteroom as a whole, so that the entire wellness area has a unified look. A relaxation and reclining area with an electrically height-adjustable headboard invites you to read or relax and enjoy the view of the garden. The reclaimed wood is also used here, giving the room a cozy, warm atmosphere.

Indirect lighting provides atmospheric light throughout the wellness area. The concept is complemented by recessed niches and implied windows, which give the room additional depth and structure.

This project is an example of how rustic character, modern technology and individual sauna construction can be combined to create a harmonious wellness solution - custom-made, well thought-out and implemented with great attention to detail.
