A sauna inspired by Far Eastern tranquillity and traditional design language
This sauna was designed in Japanese style and combines clean lines, natural materials and a deliberately minimalist aesthetic to create a room that radiates calm, concentration and grounding.
Center of the sauna: the walled-in stove
The sauna stove was traditionally walled in and plastered, making it look like an integral part of the architecture. A large Asian character makes a powerful statement and turns the stove into the focal point of the entire room. The reduced surfaces and the focus on the center create the principles of balance and clarity typical of Japan.
Red Cedar - warm, lively, natural
The walls are made of red cedar, a wood that impresses with its warm play of colors, its natural variation and its lively grain. The different nuances and structures give the sauna depth, calm and a special material atmosphere.
Parallel bench arrangement - focus on the essentials
The benches are arranged in parallel and deliberately direct the view towards the stove. This creates a spatial structure that emphasizes harmony and order - in the spirit of traditional Japanese architecture. The round, softly finished edges of the benches ensure comfort and a calm design language.
Bamboo elements as a fine detail
Bamboo is used selectively and with restraint in this sauna:
- in the backrests,
- in the ceiling design,
- and in the round window,
which lends the room a Far Eastern elegance without being decorative or obtrusive. Bamboo symbolizes strength, lightness and tranquillity - perfect values for a wellness oasis.
A coherent overall concept
The interplay of wood, stone, light and Asian symbolism turns this sauna into a Japanese-inspired temple oasis that radiates depth and serenity. A space for rituals, regeneration and conscious arrival.
