This private wellness project in the Ore Mountains in Saxony stands for rustic comfort, deceleration and conviviality. The aim was to create a place where you can come to rest, switch off and immerse yourself in another world - without sacrificing community and encounters.
The focus is on the alpine-style sauna, made from rustic old wood with visible traces of decades gone by. Each surface tells its own story: grains, notches and unevenness bring the character of the wood to life and give the room authenticity and depth. The result is a genuine Alpine feeling in the middle of the Ore Mountains.
The wellness area was deliberately designed as a space for relaxation and socializing at the same time. A large table made of solid old wood forms the meeting point for sociable evenings with family and friends - a place to sit together, talk and enjoy after a sauna session.
Large windows allow plenty of daylight into the room and create a pleasant connection to the surroundings. Comfortable relaxation loungers invite you to lean back and switch off, while the warm wood design creates a calm, cozy atmosphere.
The choice of materials and fabrics is consistently coordinated with the overall rustic concept and emphasizes the homely character of the room. The loving details - from the handcrafted wooden joints to the deliberately visible signs of use of the reclaimed wood - reflect the demand for quality and individuality.
A small minibar has also been integrated inconspicuously, keeping drinks discreetly cool without disturbing the look of the room - functional, well thought-out and unobtrusively designed.
This project shows how custom-made saunas and individual wellness extensions can become a holistic experience: rustic, high-quality and emotional - a private retreat with character.
